Holy Teacher’s merciful teaching

Advice on how to still one's heart/mind when having vexations (worries) and wishful thinking (desires, attachments). We must learn to let go. Our True Nature is pure and still (no intentions, complaints, attachments, etc.), so our heart/mind must also be pure and still for us to become a Buddha. When we do things, we must do it according to our True Nature. In doing things, we should not have any intentions, complaints or attachments. Only then can the deed be considered as true merit and becomes part of our everlasting virtue.

修道是反觀~一切煩惱、妄想都是劫難   

Tao cultivation is to introspect (self-reflect)--all vexations and wishful thinking are calamities.

修道是反觀，不要脾氣一樣發，是非一樣講，傲慢心一樣生長，

Tao cultivation is to introspect, not to let tempers/anger, gossip, arrogance arise,

如此光會辦道，不會修道，這個道讓你修起來不值錢啊！

If one only performs the tasks but does not cultivate Tao, then it is worthless!

不是以清靜心來辦事，雖做了很多事情，看起來功很大，

If one does not have a pure and still (calm) heart/mind in performing tasks, even if performing much work that looks like there is much merit,

最後還是回歸於「有限的福報」上面，照樣是三界輪迴!

In the end it only amounts to limited fortune/blessing and still results in reincarnation!

只要用「清靜心」，就能契入大道，真正達到超生了死。

If only one uses a pure and still heart/mind, one can attain the great Tao and transcend reincarnation.

一個人若平日能夠時常「守玄」，祥和之氣自然會引發善因緣的發生 。

If one can constantly "maintain the first treasure", harmonious energy will naturally produce good karma.

五字真言默念於心，用天心（玄關）去念，這種修持，可以

The second treasure silently recited in one's mind with a true heart (using the first treasure) can

讓我們帶到天涯海角，任何場所，任何時間，行住坐臥，都可以默念 。

Take us to the ends of the earth, no matter where, when or what we're doing, we can silently recite it.

散步時、空閒時、工作時、睡覺時都可默念，這是收束心念

While taking a walk, at leisure, working, or going to sleep, one can silently recite;

這是收束心念最簡單，最方便的方法。

This is the easiest and most convenient way to bring one's heart/mind back to one's True Nature.

*** 一切煩惱、妄想都是劫難 ***

All vexations and wishful thinking are calamities.

默念五字真言，不是外求淨土，而是內生淨土，

Silently reciting the second treasure is not seeking an external pure land but an internal pure land

用自性佛堂，獻自性心香，誦無字真經/守玄。

Use the temple of one's True Nature, offer incense of one's True Nature, recite the true wordless dharma/maintain the first treasure.

徒兒們，你再不往自己內心著手，就太遲了。

Disciples, if you don't turn inward toward your True (Tao) Heart, it will be too late.

趕快！趕快安設無形的自心佛堂。

Hurry! Quickly, set up the invisible temple of one's True Heart.

趕快！趕快安設無形的自性佛堂。

Hurry! Quickly, set up the invisible temple of one's True Nature.

咱就在自心佛堂，自性道場裏修道吧！

As we are in the temple of our True Heart, we can cultivate Tao in the convent of our True Nature!

凡事不要太忙碌，留點時間收收心!

Don't be too busy with mundane matters, leave some time to bring one's heart/mind back to one's True Nature!

三寶常常來使用，保證修道法喜又進步！

With constant use of the three treasures, Tao cultivation is guaranteed to bring joy and improvement!
